I have PC Chips K7, Model 863G motherboard. How do I find the motherboard version.?
I currently have a PC Chips K7 model 863g motherboard. I need to download new chipset, and bios drivers for graphics card (Nvidia geforce fx 5500 256 MB AGP) to operate. The problem is the manual states I have a version 1.5b. However PC Chips has every version for this model except for version 1.5b. Since I’m new at this, It is possible I’m looking at the wrong stuff. So where would I look to ensure I have the proper version?
Reboot,and during the rebooting,at the first screen near the bottom,it will show you everything about the MB,type etc.
And really if you are not having any problems with the bios,I suggest you leave it alone,you could very easily convert the motherboard into a paperweight
